Labour Relations Secretariat

The Labour Relations Secretariat was created in 1997 to support the commitment of of health care employers throughout the province to the principle of coordinated, central collective bargaining. It serves all employers throughout the twelve Regional Health Authorities.
The Labour Relations Secretariat provides services in the following areas:

  • Negotiated services for all collective agreements.
  • Mandate-setting for collective bargaining within the health-care sector.
  • Coordination of labour relations issues which are provincial in scope.
  • Support to the Provincial Human Resources Council.
  • Facilitation of application and interpretation of applicable labour registration.
  • Support in collective agreement interpretation/labour relations issues.
